People systems at growth-stage companies are changing roles. Legacy HRIS products often acted as employee databases for records, contracts, and leave balances. More teams now need a workflow layer that can move approvals, reminders, reports, onboarding, and performance cycles forward.
Locaxion Solutions has completed a $3.5 million Seed Round inside that shift. The round was announced on March 4, 2026 and was led by Accel, with participation from Y Combinator and First Round Capital.
The company is building a people operations system. Rather than serving a single HR module, it addresses the operating chain from onboarding and records to leave approvals, document signing, pre-payroll, and performance cycles.
The difference from traditional HR software is that Locaxion puts automation at the center. The Slack agent can handle routine requests, automated reports can feed payroll and finance workflows, and onboarding can move forward automatically after a contract is signed.
Locaxion targets teams of roughly 30 to 300 people. That is often when people operations complexity rises sharply, as multi-region hiring, leave policies, field permissions, audit logs, contract templates, and performance cadences begin to overlap.
The round itself points to a broader market shift: AI-native people operations is moving from a set of lightweight tools toward a more complete operating system for companies.
